Frequently Asked Questions

What is Ping Master?

Ping Master is a network and server monitoring app. It lets you add servers (by IP address or hostname) and continuously monitors their response time (latency) in real time. You'll get instant notifications when a server goes down or comes back online.

How does pinging work?

The app uses TCP connection probes on multiple ports (443, 80, 53) in parallel and takes the median of multiple samples for accurate, stable latency readings. This approach works on all mobile platforms without requiring special permissions.

Is my data stored on your servers?

No. All your server list and ping history data is stored locally on your device. The app only sends anonymous device registration and usage statistics to help us improve the service. No personal information is collected or shared.

Why does a server show as "Unreachable"?

A server may appear unreachable if:

How many servers can I monitor?

You can monitor up to 25 servers simultaneously.

Does the app work in the background?

The app monitors servers while it is running in the foreground. When you switch to another app, monitoring pauses and resumes automatically when you return to Ping Master.

Can I export my ping history?

Yes! Tap on any server to view its detail screen, then use the export button (download icon) to save your 24-hour ping history as a CSV file that you can share or analyze.

Why does the app ask for tracking permission?

Ping Master uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. On iOS 14.5 and later, Apple requires apps to ask for your permission before using your device's advertising identifier. You can choose to allow or deny tracking — the app will work perfectly either way.
